Geffrey Gruber, 31, is in dialysis three times a week. He found out a few years ago that he only had one kidney – and it was failing.
He's put out a plea on social media and GoFundMe page in search for a donor.
He says no one in his family or friends are a good match and time is running out. The tough part, he says, is that New York state has one of the longest wait times for organ donations.
He says he is hoping for a living donor will step up to help.
