A Massapequa man says he is concerned after witnessing the rescue of a beached shark at Jones Beach Wednesday morning.
Bruce Saunders recorded the incident on the beach during a morning walk when he noticed a fisherman wrestling with a small shark.
Saunders says the man was trying to get it back in the water and succeeded.
"I'm more concerned, being a grandparent, that there are kids just a little west of us who are in the water," says Saunders.
Experts at the Long Island Aquarium say sharks migrate to the area due to warming waters during this time of the year.
They recommend not swimming at dawn and dusk.
