Heart attacks have long been considered a problem facing older adults, but young people can have them as well. However, there are subtle warning signs to be aware of them.
Cardiologist Dr. Laxmi Mehta with Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center says it's important for everyone, regardless of age, to know the symptoms.
The symptoms include chest discomfort or pain that radiates to the shoulder, back, neck, jaw, shortness of breath, nausea, indigestion and intense fatigue.
"If there is something acutely new in you and it doesn't make sense, you want to seek immediate medical attention," Mehta advises.
