Bay Shore scales back new parking regulations downtown

<p>The town of Bay Shore announced today that it is dialing back new parking regulations downtown following community input. As part of a pilot program, the town installed 525 parking meters on Main Street and in the municipal lots behind the shops. The meters went into effect in early May. Parking will now be free in the back lots Monday through Friday until 6 p.m. Town officials say the changes will go into effect in the coming days.</p>
