Flooded streets returned Monday for one South Shore community.
Around 8 p.m. Monday, North Boulevard in Bay Park was barely passable just before high tide. The water has since mostly receded in much of the area.
People living near the canal say that while they're used to the flooding, it doesn't make the situation any better.
Steve Pappas, who was hit hard during Superstorm Sandy, says he was panicking because flooding brings back bad memories for him.
Another resident tells News 12 that he lost a car during the storm, and he had about 1 1/2 feet of water in his backyard.
