Barstool Sports raises $1.5 million for family of fallen NYPD officer
Barstool says the initial $750,000 was raised in part by selling NYPD merchandise on its website.

Barstool Sports is stepping up to support the family of fallen NYPD officer Jonathan Diller.
The company raised $750,00 in less than 24 hours for Diller's family. Barstool founder Dave Portnoy matched that amount – bringing the total to $1.5 million.
“I know money does not cure this, nothing can cure this, but the least we can do in Barstool, myself, we have a long history supporting the cops, supporting the boys in blue, supporting first responders,” says Portnoy.
