A Baldwin man was arrested Sunday after a domestic dispute that left two police officers injured, Nassau County police said.
Officers responded to a Newton Avenue home on Feb 8, around 5:30 p.m., after a 64-year-old woman reported that Harry H. Williams Jr., 64, pushed and slapped her during an argument. Williams left before police arrived but later returned, allegedly yelling at officers and appearing intoxicated.
Police say Williams became violent while being taken into custody, injuring two officers who were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Williams is charged with two counts of assault in the second degree, DWI, harassment, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration.
