Babylon Village Pride is back today with its third annual parade.
Three years ago, a Babylon native named Roman organized the first Babylon Village Pride Parade for the local LGBTQ community.
The car and float parade drew 500 people in its first year and last year, it grew to 3,000 people.
"You're accepted here, it's a safe place. You're going to see a lot of families, a lot of kids. It'll be an overall great time,” Roman says.
The event kicks off at 3 p.m. at Main Street and Deer Park Avenue.
Parade organizers say more village businesses and sponsors are participating this year.
