A bat Babe Ruth used during a game sold for a record-breaking amount in the past, but a new offering is now being put in a league of its own.
A Ruth bat from 1921 recently sold in a private sale for $1.85 million.
It broke a record set last year by another Ruth bat.
But the seller says this is the first bat authenticated through photographic corroboration.
A photo expert used five marks to prove the bat was the real thing, meaning it was used the year Ruth broke the single-season home run record - a record he'd break again just six years later.
