A well-known Long Island doctor was killed in a snowmobile crash Friday morning in Vermont.
Police say 75-year-old Dr. Mark Funt, of Setauket, was driving the snowmobile when he crashed shortly before 11:30 a.m.
Funt was the chief of gynecology and director of resident education services at Stony Brook University when the hospital began delivering babies shortly after opening in 1980.
