A former Stony Brook attorney, who admitted to stealing over $800,000 from clients, is set to spend up to four years in prison, according to authorities.
The Suffolk District Attorney says Douglas Valente took the money from client’s escrow accounts and then used it for his personal expenses.
Authorities say this occurred between April 2020 and September 2022.
