Arvind Mahankali, of Bayside Hills, Queens, wins Scripps National Spelling Bee
Arvind Mahankali, of Bayside Hills in Queens, won the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Maryland last night. He won by correctly spelling the word 'knaidel' - the Yiddish word for a type of dumpling.
