(12/12/07) WYANDANCH ? Wyandanch residents were forced to watch in horror as gunmen broke into their home and threw a 1-year-old boy down the stairs.

Officials say the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on North 16th Street. Janice Davis, the homeowner, says three armed men stormed into the home looking for her cousin. She says they stole some of the cousin?s items and pointed a gun at her husband, telling him not to be brave.

Davis says the one of the men took the boy, Jameqe, and threw him down the stairs. Those in the home say they watched in horror as the boy was thrown, but couldn?t do anything about it.

An ambulance was called to the scene, but fortunately, the boy was not injured.

Police say they are still searching for the suspects.
