An apparent road rage incident was captured on video Tuesday morning in East Northport.

Video sent in to News 12 shows an incident on Jericho Turnpike at Elwood Road.

The video shows the driver of a Honda stopping in the middle of the road, getting out and opening the passenger door of the vehicle next to him.

The man then leans in and appears to spit and lunge at the driver before getting back in his car and driving away.

"I was just in shock. I was looking around and saw the lady next to me with the cellphone taping and I just couldn't believe what was happening," says David Weissman, who took the video.

Police say no one has called to report the incident.

According to AAA, 16 people were killed in road rage incidents in New York last year, and five of them happened on Long Island.
