North Babylon High School was evacuated Wednesday after a threat was found written in the girl?s bathroom.
It was the third threat found displayed in the school within a week. Last Wednesday, racial slurs aimed at students were found in the boy?s bathroom. The next day, a death threat toward principal Ray Williams with swastikas was found on the school's handball court.
Suffolk police were called to the school to conduct a full search of the building.
Eleventh-grader Anthony Passero says the students were put in lockdown and told to remain in their classroom then evacuated to Belmont State Park on buses. He says they had to stay there for over an hour before students were allowed to leave.
Parent Theresa Reid says she?s frustrated by the school?s lack of communication in its handling of the evacuation.
