This evening's storms are bringing the threat of flash flooding.

Storms may move through the area until 2 a.m. News 12 meteorologists say these storms will likely feature more torrential downpours that can cause flash flooding.  Some spots could get over 2 inches of rain in a short period of time.

Some storms may have heavy rain, gusty winds and possible hail.

A heat advisory was issued through 8 p.m. A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for Nassau through 10 p.m.

 

For Friday, expect sun and clouds with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be between 83 to 88 degrees.
