Dozens of Long Island business owners tossed their gloves in the ring Thursday for charity.
The 17th annual Fight for Charity took place in Melville.
The event is a fundraiser for people with intellectual and physical disabilities and Long Island families in need.
Amateur boxers tell News 12 they have been training for weeks.
"It was good, we trained hard, we worked hard and you know it was good to get in the ring and put it to work," says Tara Cohen, of Oceanside.
The event has generated $1.75 million has been raised since the event kicked off.
