A Center Moriches woman will be marching in the Cancer Survivors Parade prior to the Kentucky Derby this weekend.
Andrea O'Halloran, 43, is a racing enthusiast currently battling breast cancer for a second time.
After discovering that she would be marching in the parade before the first leg of the Triple Crown, loved ones started an online fund to raise money to buy O'Halloran a hat fit for the occasion.
Hundreds of people donated, which eventually caught the eye of Couture Atelier Millinery's Anya Caliendo. She is donating a hand-painted Italian silk masterpiece to O'Halloran.
O'Halloran is heading to the Kentucky Derby with her husband Keith, whom she married in the winner's circle of a racetrack. She has promised to send News 12 pictures from the Cancer Survivors Parade on Saturday.
