A pair of problems led to a tough morning for Long Island Rail Road riders.
Chopper 12 was over the busy Jamaica train station Monday morning, where it experienced delays, cancellations, and diversions due to Amtrak work in the East River tunnels.
The work was running late, causing the problems for riders.
Not long after, there were westbound delays through Jamaica between 15 and 20 minutes on some lines. That was because a passenger on one train was in need of medical assistance.
