Amtrak takes LIRR track out of service for renewal project

Some more service changes are in effect for Long Island Rail Road riders.
On Monday morning, Amtrak took track No. 18 at Penn Station out of service as part of its renewal project.
The LIRR will be diverting or canceling seven peak morning trains and six trains during the evening rush.
The work is expected to be completed by March 3.
