Police say an Amityville man has turned himself in after he was suspected of burglarizing a Suffolk business.
Tyler Heller, 27, is expected to appear in court in a few hours.
Heller allegedly broke into the Amvets Thrift Store on Sunrise Highway in Copiague in August.
Investigators say Heller went through a rooftop chimney, then rappelled down using a rubber hose.
Police say when an alarm sounded, Heller shattered the glass front door and ran off empty-handed.
