Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner American Pharoah arrived at Belmont Park Tuesday for a week of preparation before a shot at horse racing immortality.
The last time a horse captured the Triple Crown was Affirmed in 1978.
American Pharoah will attempt to become the 12th Triple Crown winner on Saturday during the Belmont Stakes. The horse is the third Triple Crown contender for trainer Bob Baffert, who hopes history will finally be made.
The horses will have their post positions drawn Wednesday at Rockefeller Center.
