Police say an ambulette driver is accused of driving drunk while transporting a patient to a treatment center.
According to police, Pedro Aponte, of Brooklyn, was involved in multiple accidents in Roosevelt on Monday.
Police say the incident happened as Aponte drove a "Life Care" ambulette to take a dialysis patient from Queens to Nassau County.
Aponte crashed into at least two utility poles and was found lying on the ground next to the ambulette, officials say.
Aponte was arrested and now faces a long list of charges.
Aponte's 77-year-old passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries.
