A good Samaritan rescued an alleged drunken driver from a burning SUV in Smithtown.
John Shea's Ford caught fire after he crashed on Laurel Drive Park Friday night.
A neighbor heard the noise, ran to the scene and pulled the 42-year-old to safety.
Police told Newsday that Shea is charged with felony DWI because he has a previous DWI conviction.
