AG: Driver who killed pedestrian on Saturday identified as off-duty NYPD officer

News 12 has learned the driver who hit and killed a pedestrian in Oceanside has been identified as an off-duty NYPD officer, according to the state attorney general.

News 12 has learned the driver who hit and killed a pedestrian in Oceanside has been identified as an off-duty NYPD officer, according to the state attorney general.
As News 12 previously reported, police said that Adrian Wilburne was hit and killed while crossing the intersection of Merrick and Oceanside roads around 2 a.m. Saturday
Police say the driver called police and stayed at the scene.
The Attorney General's Office must investigate every civilian death involving a police officer under state law.
