The fourth annual Relay for Life was held overnight at the Garden City Campus of Adelphi University.
An army of 1,300 volunteers participated in the walk to raise money for cancer research and cancer patients.
Each team of students camped out around the event site while members took turns walking around the track.
Adelphi students raised over $60,000 for the American Cancer Society Friday night. It's the most they have collected since the event began at the school four years ago.
