All 19 IHOP locations on Long Island are offering Milkshake Monday, thanks to comedian Adam Sandler, who walked out of the Manhasset location after being told by the hostess that the wait was 30 minutes.
The hostess, Dayanna Rodas, took to TikTok with footage of their exchange, which went viral. She said she didn’t recognize Sandler due to his beard and mask.
"It was the mask definitely," says Rodas. "Very hard to recognize people now with the mask on. But maybe next time he comes back maybe I'll recognize him."
Sandler responded on Twitter:
"For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat deal didn't apply to the milkshakes."
That prompted today’s special offer. Pay $6.50 and it's all-you-can-drink milkshakes until 8 p.m.
For every milkshake sold, IHOP is donating $1 each to the charity Comedy Gives Back, which helps comedians who lost income because of the pandemic.
The IHOP faithful are also hoping Sandler will stop in for a milkshake.
