Eric Lein reunited with his mother, Helen, Wednesday night.
The 39-year-old was one of hundreds of activists intercepted by the Israeli navy last week.
They were trying to deliver humanitarian aid to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza.
Lein's mother tells News 12 other Americans were also released and flew back to the U.S. with her son.
