It’s been a big week at News 12 as we continue to celebrate the grand opening of our new studios.
Altice USA CEO Dennis Mathew cut the ceremonial ribbon alongside Altice President of News and Advertising Keith Bowen. Their message to the many Long Island small business owners, government leaders, journalists and influencers in the room was clear.
“The $20 million investment in our studios represents the commitment we have to this amazing community,” said Mathew.
The Bethpage High School marching band provided a hyperlocal soundtrack, while vendors from communities across Nassau and Suffolk shared many of the delicious treats and creative touches that have become synonymous with Long Island.
Business and local government leaders, such as Oyster Bay Supervisor Joe Saladino, toured the studios and spoke with News 12 executives and anchors and reporters.
As for the space itself, it features extra-large video screens and new displays, a sprawling newsroom, state-of-the-art control rooms and new interview sets – allowing News 12 to stay ahead of the curve, and continue to cover the stories you care about, in your community just as we have for more than 35 years.
“We have the best team. The best team should have the best state of the art studio and so we're excited,” said Mathew.
Altice USA is the parent company for News 12.
