A Long Island radio DJ is raising awareness about battling depression with a unique brew.
Brian Orlando, of 94.3 The Shark is teaming up with the 1940's Brewing Co. in Holbrook to create the Never Alone beer to bring attention to mental health issues.
It comes with a QR code on the label that leads to a music video created by Orlando in memory of those who have lost their lives to suicide.
The song and video features members of '90s rock bands Candlebox and Sponge, as well as Long Island's Wheatus.
Proceeds from the beer will go toward suicide prevention, something Shark Program Director Rob Rush says is needed with more people falling into depression during the pandemic.
