Long Island residents, who are also 9/11 first responders, showed their support Sunday for victims of recent terror attacks.
The first responders gathered at the 9/11 Responders Remembered Park in Nesconset to honor the victims of the attacks in Paris and Mali.
"Everybody in America is with you, we're praying for you and we stand in solidarity with everyone around the world affected by terrorist attacks," 9/11 first responder John Feal said of the victims in France and Mali.
Many in attendance said they also plan to go to Washington, D.C. in the next few weeks to lobby Congress for an extension to the Zadroga Act, which expired earlier this year.
The act provides benefits for those who became ill as a result of the Sept. 11 attacks.
