A Glen Head third-grader is a national champ for her penmanship.
Cecilia Saad, a 9-year-old lefty, entered the prestigious Zaner-Bloser national handwriting contest earlier this year.
CC says she knew she was good, but wasn't sure she'd win with more than 270,000 students submitted their work.
Her cursive entry earned her a $1,000 prize, a big trophy and a medal.
"I was like 'Wow, a medal, this is really big,'" she says.
CC's teacher at Greenvale School in Old Brookville says the girl with the perfect penmanship is inspiring her classmates.
"CC is such a determined young lady," says Lorraine Campbell.
