Nine people are without a home after a fire in Roosevelt.
About 60 firefighters responded to the house on Grant Street around 6 p.m. Wednesday, fire officials say.
The Red Cross was requested to assist three adults and six children.
One resident was treated for smoke inhalation, and a firefighter suffered a hand injury, according to the Nassau Fire Marshal’s Office.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Fire Marshal and Police Arson/Bomb Squad.
