80-year-old man dead after getting hit by SUV in Brentwood
Suffolk County police say Richard Jennings was in the eastbound lane of Suffolk Avenue around 2:30 a.m. that morning near Fulton St. when he was hit by a 23-year-old driving a Ford Escape.

An 80-year-old was pronounced dead on Monday after he was hit by an SUV in Brentwood.
Suffolk County police say Richard Jennings was in the eastbound lane of Suffolk Avenue around 2:30 a.m. that morning near Fulton St. when he was hit by a 23-year-old driving a Ford Escape.
He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Driver Barbaron Rojas was treated for minor injuries.
The Ford was impounded for a safety check.
