Suffolk police arrested eight people Wednesday night during a raid on a Huntington Station home long suspected of hosting drug deals.
Residents complained for months that the house at 28 Colombia St. was a drug den, police said, and authorities said they discovered marijuana and cocaine during a search. The ages of the suspects range from 15 to 47 years old, and some are believed to be members of the Latin Kings gang.
Neighbors, who said they were too afraid to reveal their identities, said the activity at the house has left them feeling unsafe for a long time. The house sits one block away from an elementary school.
The eight people arrested were charged with either criminal possession of marijuana or criminal possession of a controlled substance.
