As summer is ending, local cases of West Nile virus are growing.

The state health department now says five more mosquito samples tested positive for West Nile.

They were collected earlier this month in Suffolk -- in Greenlawn, West Islip, Jamesport, and two samples from Farmingville.

No new cases of West Nile have been reported in people, just water samples.

Earlier this week, two people in Suffolk were diagnosed with the virus.

They're being treated.
