35-year-old man fatally struck by car in Middle Island

Suffolk police say a man from Miller Place was struck and killed by a car while walking in Middle Island Saturday morning.

Suffolk police say a man from Miller Place was struck and killed by a car while walking in Middle Island Saturday morning.
It happened on Miller Place-Yaphank Road shortly before 6 a.m. Police say a driver in a Buick Regal was heading north when her vehicle struck a pedestrian who was walking in the road.
The victim, identified as 35-year-old Timothy Petrulo, of Miller Place, was pronounced dead at Mather Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the Buick, identified as 45-year-old Keisha Dalton, was not hurt.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the Sixth Squad by calling 631-854-8652.
