Police have arrested three students for allegedly committing various thefts in the Greenport School District.

Southold police have arrested and charged 17-year-old Jarod Tramontana, of Greenport, 16-year-old James McElroy, of Orient, and a 15-year-old juvenile.

Police say the three students are behind a string of break-ins at school offices for the past two months. Newsday says the three students allegedly took a master key to the school offices and allegedly stole nearly $2,000 in cash.
