Three former nurse's aides who admitted to ignoring a patient in respiratory distress and covering up her death were sentenced to three years probation Wednesday.
Patricia DiGiovanni, Christina Corelli and Leona Gordon each had their nursing certificates revoked and are not permitted to care for the elderly or people with physical or mental disabilities.
DiGiovanni also received 840 hours of community service on top of her probation sentence.
As News 12 has reported, 72-year-old Aurelia Rios died at the Medford Multicare Center in 2012 after prosecutors say workers at the facility ignored several alarms and didn't hook the victim up to a ventilator.
