Police say three men are accused of running a Home Depot gift card scam to fuel their heroin habits.
According to police, the men are accused of stealing nearly $29,000 worth of merchandise from Home Deport stores across Nassau County. 
The men have been identified as Husam Elghonami, Kirt Walther and Nicholas Scuro. 
Officials say the men would return the items to the store for gift cards, then pawn them for cash to buy drugs.
