Police say three Long Islanders are among a group arrested in New Jersey for human trafficking and child prostitution.
Prosecutors say three underage girls were taken to a South Hackensack motel on Oct. 2 to be forced into prostitution.
Police say Edwin Boneta, 22, of Central Islip, Jefferson Contreras, 18, of Bay Shore, and Selena Boneta, 19, of West Babylon, were all arrested Wednesday and charged with human trafficking and child prostitution. News 12 has learned that the Bonetas are siblings.
All three were arraigned in federal court in Central Islip.
A New Jersey woman, Stephanie Boneta, was also charged.
