Three Long Island teens are one step closer to a possible win in the prestigious Siemens Competition.
Bill Crugnola, of Jericho, Katie Mazalkova, of Valley Stream, and Jay Zussman, of Great Neck, won in the regionals to advance to the finals of the science competition Saturday night.
Next month, the students will compete against more than a dozen other students in Washington, D.C. for the $100,000 grand prize.
