Three generations of the same Long Island family got their haircuts Friday for a good cause.
The Alberts took off 8 to 12 inches of their hair at a Plainview hair salon to be donated to children with hair loss.
They say their hair will be made into wigs for children with cancer or other medical conditions.
"I realized there were a lot of people who needed the hair to feel better about themselves much more than I did," says Dina Albert, of Plainview.
Dina Albert tells News 12 this is her sixth time donating her hair.
