Police say they have arrested a man and two women who are accused of robbing three banks in Suffolk County.
Investigators say 40-year-old Robert Oliver, his ex-wife Patricia, 36, and 25-year-old Alysa Moran were arrested after allegedly robbing the Bank of America on St. Johnland Road in Kings Park Friday afternoon.
Police say Oliver entered the bank at around 12:30 p.m. and demanded cash from a teller. He fled with the money to a vehicle where his alleged accomplices waited.
Witnesses followed the vehicle and were able to give the license plate number to police. The vehicle was stopped in Smithtown and the three were arrested.
The trio is also allegedly behind a robbery at the Chase Bank on Route 25A in Setauket, and another at a Capital One bank in Nesconset.
The suspects are charged with third-degree robbery. Police say their investigation is continuing and anyone with additional information is urged to call 631-852-6726.
