23 new adult-use retail cannabis dispensary licenses approved for LI

More cannabis dispensaries could be coming to Long Island.
New York provisionally approved 99 more conditional adult-use retail dispensary licenses Monday.
A total of 23 of the new licenses are set to go to Long Island.
The licenses are part of an initiative aimed at making sure the state's first legal adult-use retail dispensaries are operated by people, and in communities, most negatively impacted by New York's marijuana laws.
