NJ Transit rail service is suspended between Hammonton and Lindenwold after a train struck and killed a man Saturday afternoon near the Atco Avenue crossing.
According to NJ Transit, a train left Philadelphia at 2:31 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Atlantic City at 4:06 p.m. The train struck the man around 3:25 p.m.
No injuries were reported among the approximately 80 passengers on board or the train crew.
NJ Transit was providing bus service to impacted customers as of Saturday evening.
It was not immediately clear when service would be restored.
