A Bridgeport woman who was injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday has died, city officials said Thursday.

Officials say 41-year-old Natalie Velez died Wednesday.

The crash happened just before 8:45 p.m., when Velez was traveling on her motorcycle on Newfield Avenue.

Police say she then lost control, struck a utility pole and crashed through a gate at 560 Newfield Ave.

It's not clear what caused the crash.
