A house fire left one person seriously hurt Thursday morning in Valley Stream.
Officials say the flames broke out just after 6 a.m. inside the kitchen of the residence on North Terrace Place.
Sixty-five firefighters responded to the scene. It took around 45 minutes to control the flames.
The injured individual was taken to Nassau University Medical Center for treatment.
