Patricio Aguirre owns a Breton Hills condo in Glen Cove.
He said over the past three and a half years, erosion has impacted the land behind his home, making the drop off worse as time went on.
Recent rain exacerbated the problem, turning the sloped piece of land into what he is calling a cliff, now just feet from his home - and 12 feet from his bedroom and home office.
Aguirre said the stress of it has impacted him and his wife, Ana, mentally and financially. They are constantly worried about having to evacuate and worry about what this issue will mean for the value of the home.
News 12 spoke with the management company of the condos, All Shore Management.
The property manager said the building is not any danger of “falling off” or “sliding down” the hill.
He said the board of managers of the condos is looking to make sure this is remedied.
They're still in the preliminary stage of trying to figure out "what's what" and "who is responsible for what," the property manager told News 12.
