A World War II airman from Copiague who died eight decades ago has finally been laid to rest.
U.S. Army Forces Sgt. Henry Younge was reunited with his family and buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
Younge was killed during a fire in a Japanese prison in 1945. He was 20 years old.
Once the war ended, the American Graves Registration Service began recovering missing Americans in the Pacific.
They weren’t able to identify any as Younge until last year, when 39 additional service members were recovered.
